Description
“Pulp fiction” refers to a type of paperback that became popular in the mid-20th century, so named for the cheap “wood pulp” paper on which they were printed. These novels emerged from short stories in “pulp” magazines, a lower cost counterpart to higher quality “slicks.” Published on the heels of popular detective & crime novels, these books were characterized by their risque titles, with provocative, off-color cover art. Today, nearly a century later, these vintage covers continue to catch the eye and can serve as a conversation piece, to make a statement or draw laughs.
